OUR OBJECTIVES
At First Line Kids we believe that the best way to honour members of the First Line Services is to help care for their children, which is why we focus our time, energy and donations on three objectives.

OBJECTIVES
Post-Secondary Educational Funding
Our primary objective is to ensure that, all children of our First Line members who lose their lives in the line of duty will receive complete post-secondary educational funding.
This will include tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and tutoring services as required in an effort to achieve their goals. There is no action required from eligible recipients of this service.
On notification of a fallen hero, we will reach out at an appropriate time to inform the family of our program and make all the arrangements going forward.
Scholarships & Bursaries
Our secondary objective is to provide a series of scholarships and bursaries for the children of our currently serving members of the First Line Services.
These awards will be based on merit and need and can be applied for by filling out our application found HERE.
Applications must be emailed to firstlinekids@gmail.com prior to May 31st of each year.
The Board of Directors will hold its annual general meeting in June of each year when scholarships and bursaries will be awarded. Upon completion of the annual general meeting, recipients of scholarships and bursaries will be notified in July of their award.
Grief Support
Our third objective is to address and prevent specific problems faced by families by providing grief support and counselling for survivors that addresses issues associated with the loss of family members.
This will be an ongoing project to develop a series of programs that will be available to all members of the First Line Services.
These programs will include:
Online grief counselling and peer support program for children of our fallen heroes. (Date to be confirmed: Target date - 01 June 2023)
Two to three-day equestrian ride program in development
